Chelsea Football Club Nears Deal with Former Tottenham Manager Mauricio Pochettino

According to a report by The Telegraph, former Tottenham Hotspur manager, Mauricio Pochettino, is likely to become the next manager of Chelsea Football Club. 

The negotiations between the club and the Argentine are in their final stages, with both parties hoping for a quick agreement. 

Pochettino is already putting together his backroom staff at Chelsea, which includes Jesus Perez as assistant manager and head of conditioning, Miguel D'Agostino as his first-team coach, Toni Jimenez as the goalkeeping coach, and Sebastiano Jimenez as a sports scientist.

Despite Chelsea's initial reservations about hiring Pochettino due to his past with Tottenham Hotspur and his emotional attachment to the club, concerns were eased by the positive reaction from their fanbase, according to the Evening Standard. Additionally, key figures in the Chelsea dressing room are excited about the prospect of working under Pochettino given his style of play and track record of improving players.

Chelsea is set to play Brentford in their next Premier League fixture as they seek to break their winless streak of eight games.
