The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has threatened to expel Salihu Moh. Lukman, the party's National Vice Chairman of the Northwest, for dragging the National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, and National Secretary, Senator Iyiola Omisore, to court over their failure to convene meetings of the relevant party organs, which is a violation of the party's constitution.
The party's National Legal Adviser, Ahmad Usman El-Marzuq Esq., dispatched a "legal opinion" to Adamu, Omisore, and other NWC members, saying that the suit filed by Lukman pertains to the internal or domestic affairs of the party, which is non-justiciable.
El-Marzuq advised that disciplinary measures, in accordance with the party's constitution, should be taken against Lukman, who did not first exhaust the avenues for redress provided for in the party's constitution before resorting to a court action.
Lukman's case will be discussed at Wednesday's NWC meeting.
