"Wike Assures Tinubu: Nomination Won't Be a Regret"

Former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, expressed his gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for nominating him as a minister in his cabinet. During his appearance before the red chamber for screening on July 31, 2023, Wike asserted that he believed in supporting the President's efforts to address the challenges facing Nigeria.

"I thank Mr. President for nominating me. I believe, knowing how determined Mr. President is to tackle Nigeria's problems, we must extend our unwavering support. I can assure you that if I am confirmed in any capacity, Mr. President will not be disappointed for nominating me," he stated confidently.

Wike took the opportunity to highlight his achievements as the governor of Rivers State. He emphasized his commitment to enhancing the state's infrastructure and fostering cooperation between politicians from different parties to inaugurate these projects.

"As the governor, everyone can attest to the transformation of Port Harcourt. It is a record. Within four years, I successfully constructed nine flyovers," he proudly declared.

Wike attributed his accomplishments to dedication and passion for the job, believing that such progress is achievable when one is genuinely committed.
