"Nnamdi Kanu of IPOB Released by DSS for Medical Examination Following Court Order; Lawyer Provides Insights"

Nnamdi Kanu, the detained founder of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has undergone a medical examination at a hospital of his choosing in Abuja. 

His lawyer, Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, confirmed the development in a statement over the weekend. The meeting between Kanu and his personal doctor(s) took place outside the Department of State Services (DSS) facility, and Ejiofor was present to witness the examination, which went smoothly. 

The medical assessment is set to progress to the next stage soon. This comes after a federal high court in Abuja ordered the DSS to grant Kanu access to a medical doctor of his choice while in custody, citing his fundamental human rights as guaranteed by the Constitution.
