"Former Governor Oshiomhole Expresses Relief Over Successful Senatorial Election Victory"

In a celebratory gathering at his country home in Iyamho, Edo, former governor of Edo State, Senator Adams Oshiomhole expressed his relief and gratitude for winning his senatorial ambition. 

Representing the Edo North Senatorial district in the National Assembly, Oshiomhole acknowledged that numerous governors had failed in their attempts to secure a senatorial position, and he would have been deeply disappointed if he had suffered the same fate.

Addressing the crowd, Oshiomhole admitted that had he lost, it would have been a source of immense shame for him. He humorously added that the jubilation of his opponents would have been so overwhelming that they might have even locked his humble abode and broken his fragile bones, indicating the intensity of his relief at emerging victorious.

The former governor expressed his gratitude to the people of Edo North for their unwavering support, both during his time as governor and in his current senatorial journey. He also commended them for voting in favor of President Bola Tinubu during the presidential election. Notably, Edo-North district stood as the sole district in Edo where Tinubu secured a victory.

Oshiomhole pledged his unwavering dedication to effectively represent Edo North in the Senate, emphasizing his responsibility to ensure that the state receives maximum benefits from Tinubu's administration. Recognizing the challenges faced by sitting governors who sought senatorial positions nationwide, Oshiomhole expressed deep gratitude to his constituents for honoring him with victory even after leaving office seven years ago. 

He urged them to spread the message of his gratitude to their respective wards and units, emphasizing his profound appreciation for their support. Throughout his campaign, Oshiomhole had emphasized the importance of casting votes in favor of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and he reiterated this sentiment once again.
