Innoson Unveils the Innoson IVM 6110A: A 100-Passenger CNG-Powered Bus Revealed

Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) recently unveiled its range of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles, capitalizing on the removal of fuel subsidies by the Federal Government on May 29th, 2023.

Among the showcased CNG-powered vehicles was the IVM 6110A bus, exhibited at the factory in Nnewi on June 6th. This bus has a capacity to carry 100 passengers, with 55 seats and room for 45 standing passengers. Innoson, the indigenous car manufacturer, stated that the IVM 6110A bus is specifically designed to handle the demands of city commuting while ensuring maximum comfort for its passengers.

The IVM 6110A bus boasts advanced features such as front and rear automated doors, which not only offer convenience and efficiency but also enhance safety during travel. Inside the bus, passengers can enjoy luxury seats that distinguish it from ordinary public transportation. Additionally, the bus is equipped with air-conditioning to provide a refreshing escape from the sweltering heat outside. Moreover, passengers can enjoy audio-visual content during their journey thanks to the built-in multimedia system.

Safety is a top priority in the IVM 6110A, incorporating features such as a reverse alarm switch that alerts pedestrians and other road users when the bus is reversing. Furthermore, the bus is equipped with an Air Braking System (ABS) for enhanced control and stability.

Powering the IVM 6110A is the 8.3L Cummins Engine EQC300, a bifuel engine capable of running on both diesel and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). This feature offers the bus several advantages, including cleaner emissions, reduced fuel costs, and an extended engine lifespan.

Innoson highlights that the IVM 6110A bus represents their dedication to providing sustainable, comfortable, and safe public transportation. They describe it as more than just a bus, but rather a revolution in public transport that paves the way towards a greener and more sustainable future without compromising on comfort and safety. They invite people to experience the future of public transportation today with the IVM CNG Bus.
