Drake, the Grammy-winning Canadian singer, has caused a stir on social media after sharing the results of his father's DNA ancestry test.
Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Drake Graham, shared a screenshot of his dad's test results on his Insta Story on Monday, which suggests that his dad is 30% Nigerian.
In the post, Drake wondered if he could finally call himself a "Naija man," meaning someone with Nigerian roots.
The results showed that Nigeria has the highest percentage of ethnicity, followed by Cameroon, Congo, and Western Bantu Peoples at 28%, and then Ivory Coast and Ghana at 11%.
Some fans have speculated that Drake may be of Akwa-Ibom, Yoruba, or Warri descent due to his accent, despite being born and raised in Toronto.
Drake has previously collaborated with Nigerian artists such as Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Tems.
