Over 65 world leaders, including Heads of State, have been invited to attend the inauguration of Bola Tinubu as the 16th President of Nigeria on May 29.
The event will be graced by past presidents, diplomats, heads of international organizations, prominent Nigerians, and representatives from foreign governments and agencies.
The inauguration programs will commence on Thursday, with the investiture of Tinubu as the Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic and the Vice-President-elect, Kashim Shettima, as the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger.
The ceremony, taking place at Eagle Square in Abuja, is expected to draw leaders from Africa, Europe, and America.
Notable allies of Nigeria such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, China, Germany, Finland, Jamaica, Japan, Israel, and Turkey will also be represented.
Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, confirmed the attendance of numerous world leaders, and various activities have been scheduled, including an inauguration lecture by the former president of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, on May 27.
Despite ongoing court cases challenging the election, the inauguration will proceed as planned on May 29, following the constitutional and electoral provisions.
