Ooni urges supporters of Atiku and Obi to drop weapons and back Tinubu



The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has called on Nigerians, regardless of political affiliation, to support Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu's incoming administration after his inauguration on May 29. 

The Oba made this call while hosting a delegation from the Kenyan President, William Ruto, at his Lagos residence. 

He urged supporters of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Anambra Governor Peter Obi to put aside their differences for the greater good of the country.

The Ooni stressed the importance of creating an environment conducive to investment by working together for the Tinubu presidency, regardless of political affiliations. He stated that putting Nigeria on the right path to greatness is a collective effort that requires everyone's cooperation. 

The event was attended by top dignitaries, including Aliko Dangote, Governor Dapo Abiodun, and a fintech executive, Kunmi Demuren.

In his message to Nigerians, the Ooni called for unity, saying that it is time to embrace the country's diversity and uniqueness. He further emphasized the need for all Nigerians to support the vision of Asiwaju Gbogbo Ile Oodua, as the election has come and gone, and it is time to look forward to the future.
