"Five Justices Rule on Atiku and Obi's Petitions Against Tinubu in Presidential Election"

The Presidential Election Petition Court has commenced hearing the petitions filed by five candidates challenging the victory of President-elect Bola Tinubu in the last presidential election. 

The court comprises a five-man panel of the Court of Appeal justices who will hear the petitions and dispense justice accordingly. 

The panel includes Justice Haruna Tsammani, who was appointed to the court in 2010 and has considerable experience in electoral tribunals. 

Justice Stephen Jonah Adah, who was promoted to the Court of Appeal in 2012, and has been involved in several landmark judgments, including that of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission against Robert Azibaola, Goodluck Jonathan’s cousin. 

Justice Misitura Bolaji-Yusuf, the only female justice on the panel, was appointed to the court in 2014, and has previously delivered major judgments, including one on the N5.6 billion pension scam in Oyo State. 

Justice Boloukuoromo Moses Ugo and Justice Mohammed Abba Bello are also part of the panel.
