Nigerian artist Rema achieves Guinness World Record with hit song 'Calm Down'

Divine Ikubor, better known as Rema, a Nigerian singer and rapper, has recently made it into the Guinness World Book of Records.

The achievement was made with his globally popular song, 'Calm Down', which made history by being the First No.1 Hit on The Official MENA Chart, which is the world's first regional streaming chart.

The Guinness World Record acknowledged Rema's historic accomplishment on their website, highlighting that he secured the first number 1 hit on the MENA chart, which is the first-ever official chart in the Middle East and North Africa.

Rema's 'Calm Down' debuted at No. 1 when the MENA Chart was launched by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry on November 29, 2022, and it stayed at the top of the chart for more than two months.

With this, Rema joins Femi Kuti and Wizkid as Nigerian musicians with World Guinness records.
