In a statement made via his verified Twitter account on Saturday, Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate, spoke about the late President Umaru Yar’Adua.
Obi referred to Yar'Adua as a true democrat and a leader who believed in transparency and accountability in governance.
He went on to describe the late president as a detribalized leader who was committed to moving the nation forward.
Obi praised Yar'Adua for embodying patriotism and for setting an excellent example in public service.
