Deadly Cultist Clash in Sagamu Leaves Three People Dead



Three people have been reported dead in Sagamu, the headquarters of Sagamu local government area of Ogun state, following a clash between suspected cultists. 

The altercation began between members of the Eiye and Aiye confraternities who resumed their rivalry by shooting at each other on Tuesday. 

The violent clash has disrupted commercial activities in some parts of Sagamu, leaving several people injured. 

One of the victims was identified as Matey, an attendant at Awabat filling station in Ijokun who was shot dead by unidentified cultists on Friday night. The police have confirmed the death of the three victims and stated that many of the cultists involved have been arrested. 

The Commissioner of Police has directed tactical teams to be on standby and promised to apprehend more of the culprits.
