Police Chief Directs Evaluation and Advancement of Traffic Wardens

 

In his ongoing efforts to facilitate the advancement of deserving officers within the Nigeria Police Force, Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Usman Alkali Baba has issued a directive for the assessment of officers serving in the Traffic Warden Service. The assessment will serve as a prerequisite for their promotion to higher ranks.

The evaluation will be based on various criteria, including years of service, experience, and qualifications. 

IGP Usman Alkali Baba has consistently demonstrated his commitment to ensuring a fair and transparent career progression system within the police force. This move aims to reward officers who have dedicated themselves to their duties and have shown exceptional professionalism.

In a statement released by CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer, it was highlighted that the IGP's dedication to proper career progression is evident through several initiatives. These include the establishment of a transparent promotion system, emphasis on training and capacity building, provision of professional development opportunities, and the creation of a conducive work environment.

By implementing these measures, the IGP seeks to empower officers, allowing them to maximize their potential and make significant contributions to the nation's safety and security.
