During the 12th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held on August 3rd in Abuja, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu revealed a significant detail about his election victory in the 2023 presidential election.
He disclosed that some individuals had tried to bait him before the election. Despite the obstacles, Tinubu emphasized that he won the election fairly, deliberately proving that he could secure victory without compromising integrity.
Addressing the attendees at the APC's NEC meeting, President Tinubu defended the legitimacy of the 2023 election and issued a warning to those who were still struggling to accept its outcome, stating that they did not deserve the joy of victory. He urged party loyalty among members and emphasized their crucial role in shaping the party's direction.
The NEC meeting was attended by prominent figures such as Vice President Kashim Shettima and Senator Godswill Akpabio. Governor Abdullahi Ganduje was elected chairman of the party during the meeting. President Tinubu arrived early at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja to signal the commencement of the gathering.
The news was confirmed by President Tinubu's media aide, D. Olusegun, through a Twitter announcement on Thursday evening.
