All Progressives Congress (APC) Formally Elects Ganduje as National Chairman Alongside Other Officers

In a unanimous decision, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has elected Abdullahi Ganduje, the former governor of Kano State, as its new national chairman. The party also selected Ajibola Basiru, the former Senate spokesperson, to serve as the new national secretary. This significant decision was made during the 12th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the APC, which was held recently.

The announcement of Ganduje and Basiru as the new leaders of the party was made by Senator Abubakar Kiyari, the Acting National Chairman, during a press briefing after the executive session of the committee. Notably, in accordance with Article 13(2), the NEC transferred its powers to the NWC (National Working Committee) to fill other vacant positions within the party's administrative organ.

Following their election, Barrister Mustapha Abubakar administered the oath of allegiance to both Abdullahi Ganduje and Ajibola Basiru, solidifying their roles as the key figures in the APC's leadership moving forward.
