Young6ix, a Nigerian hip-hop artist based in the United States, has expressed his disappointment with singer Davido for excluding him from a list of the first generation of young stars in the Nigerian music industry.
Davido had recently claimed that he and Wizkid were the pioneers of young Nigerian artists who achieved stardom. He also mentioned his excitement about the emergence of new talents such as Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy, Mayorkun, and Asake.
In response, Young6ix took to social media and shared a video message addressing Davido.
He expressed his love for Davido but clarified that it was Wizkid, Olamide, and himself who attained fame before Davido. Young6ix reminded Davido that they were the young stars of their time and questioned why he was being skipped from the legacy.
