Nigerian Evacuees from Sudan Receive N100,000 Each Upon Return to Country


Nigerian citizens who were evacuated from Sudan have been given a sum of N100,000 each upon their return to the country, as well as N25,000 worth of recharge cards and 1.5 Gigabytes of data. 

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Sadiya Farouq, disclosed this at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Thursday. 

The returnees arrived in the country around 11:35 pm on Wednesday, and more are still expected. 

The funds and gifts were given to the returnees to make them more comfortable as they return to the country. 

A total of 376 persons arrived in the country from Eygpt. 

The Air Peace aircraft conveyed 282 persons while that of the Nigeria Air Force evacuated 94. 

Farouq urged Nigerians to pray for peace and avoid experiencing similar situations.
