Beyoncé Pays Tribute to Tina Turner's Remarkable "Strength and Resilience" Following Her Demise



In a touching tribute, the renowned singer Beyoncé expressed her deep love and admiration for the late Queen of Rock & Roll, who passed away at the age of 83 on May 24. Beyoncé took to her website to pen a heartfelt message in honor of the iconic musician.

Addressing Tina, the beloved artist wrote, "My beloved queen. I love you endlessly. I'm so grateful for your inspiration, and all the ways you have paved the way. You are strength and resilience, the epitome of power and passion. We are all fortunate to have witnessed your kindness and beautiful spirit that will forever remain. Thank you for all you have done."

Alongside the heartfelt note, Beyoncé shared a throwback photo capturing a tender moment between herself and Tina, where they bowed to each other while holding hands after their performance of "Proud Mary" at the 2008 Grammys.

During rehearsals for the event, Beyoncé had revealed her excitement, confessing on The Oprah Winfrey Show, "I think I'm gonna cry at the end of the performance because really it's like those things that you actually dream of. To actually be on stage with her is crazy, and I just can't believe it." The memory of that performance would forever hold a special place in her heart.

Notably, BeyoncĂ© had previously paid homage to Tina in 2005 at the Kennedy Center Honors, where she sang the hit song and expressed her admiration for the "What's Love Got To Do With It" star. 

On that occasion, she took to the stage and exclaimed, "I'll never forget the first time I saw you perform. I never in my life saw a woman so powerful, so fearless, so fabulous—and those legs."

As one of the many stars who paid tribute, BeyoncĂ© emphasized that Tina's legacy would endure. 

She acknowledged the tremendous impact Tina had on millions of fans worldwide with her music and her unwavering passion for life. 

BeyoncĂ©'s Instagram account shared a post commemorating Tina's life, stating, "Today we say goodbye to a dear friend who leaves us all her greatest work: her music. With her boundless passion for life, she enchanted millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow. All our heartfelt compassion goes out to her family.
