This back-and-forth began when Burna Boy took offense to Eedris dismissing his claim of receiving no support in the music industry during a podcast appearance, labeling it as "stupid talk."

In a since-deleted tweet, Burna Boy hinted that Eedris' ability to speak on him may have been facilitated by donations made to cover his recent hospital bills, stemming from a kidney transplant.

In response, Eedris acknowledged the contributions made towards his medical expenses but retorted that no amount of financial support could prevent Burna Boy from producing a Fool.
