"Prominent Inclusion: Ike Ekweremadu's Son Among Enugu Commissioner Nominees"

Fifteen commissioner-nominees have been appointed by Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State, and the list includes some notable names. Among those nominated are Lloyd Ekweremadu, the son of Chief Ike Ekweremadu, and Ada Chukwu, the daughter of ex-governor Sullivan.

The state House of Assembly received the list from the state and it was read on Friday during the session by the Speaker, Uche Ugwu, in Enugu. The list was signed by the Secretary of State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia.

Aside from the prominent nominees, the list also features Aka Eze Aka, a veteran broadcaster, Prof. Ndubueze Mba, Mrs. Ngozi Eni, Prof. Sam Ugwu, Chika Ugwoke, and Dr. Kingsley Ude. It also includes former commissioners Prof. Emmanuel Obi and Deacon Okey Ogbodo, as well as Mrs. Ugochi Madueke, Dr. Malachy Agbo, Gerrald Otiji, Nathaniel Urama, and Prince Lawrence Ezeh.

Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, in the letter presenting the list, mentioned that this was not the final roster and requested the speedy consideration of the nominees. He expressed optimism that the state House of Assembly would act promptly on the appeal.
