President Tinubu Urges DSS to Immediately Vacate EFCC Office

President Bola Tinubu has instructed the Department of State Service (DSS) to immediately vacate the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) office in Ikoyi, Lagos.

The President's directive, conveyed through a statement by Tunde Rahman on Tuesday, came in response to reports that DSS officials had barricaded the EFCC office, preventing its employees from entering.

In the statement, the President emphasized the need for amicable resolution if there were any disputes between these two important government agencies. It should be noted that there have been ongoing disagreements between the EFCC and the DSS regarding ownership of the building.

According to sources, the DSS had not only blocked access to the entire building but also stationed an armored tank at its entrance to intimidate EFCC officials. At present, all EFCC personnel at the Awolowo Road, Ikoyi office have been prevented from entering by the DSS.

The situation between the EFCC and the DSS remains tense, and it is yet to be seen how this dispute will be resolved.
