Manchester United's Rebuild and Transfers Depend on Champions League Qualification, Says Erik ten Hag

Manchester United have not made it past the quarter-finals of the Champions League since 2011, and they had to settle for Europa League football this season after finishing sixth in the Premier League.

However, their new coach, Ten Hag, is on track to restore Champions League football to Old Trafford in his first season in charge. 

He believes that qualifying for the Champions League is critical to attract top-tier players to the club in the summer transfer window. 

He emphasized that all the big players want to play in the Champions League and that qualification is important for the rebuild of the club. 

The players know they want to be in the Champions League and at the top of the Premier League. 

The team has been fighting hard to secure their spot, with United having the chance to strengthen their grip on a top-four finish when they head to Brighton on Thursday. Brighton is the only away team to have won at Old Trafford in the Premier League this season, but United avenged their loss in the FA Cup semi-final. 

Ten Hag believes that the team has improved significantly since their early loss to Brighton and is heading in the right direction. 

He understands that there's still a long way to go and that other big teams have been building for several years, but he is optimistic about United's future.
