LaLiga President, Javier Tebas, Extends Apology to Vinicius Junior, Clarifies Intentions

Javier Tebas, the President of LaLiga, has issued an apology for his previous remarks regarding the racial abuse endured by Vinicius Junior, the Real Madrid winger, during a match against Valencia last weekend.

Tebas had previously criticized Vinicius for not attending meetings with La Liga to discuss his complaints about the incident. He had also stated, "It is necessary that you inform yourself. Do not let yourself be manipulated."

Vinicius expressed his displeasure with Tebas' comments on social media, stating, "Once again, instead of criticizing racists, the president of LaLiga appears on social media to attack me."

However, Tebas has now offered an apology, clarifying that his intention was not to attack the Brazilian international.

In an interview with ESPN Brasil, Tebas stated, "I did not want to attack Vinicius, but if most people understood it that way, I need to apologize.

It was not my intention; I expressed myself poorly at an inappropriate moment."
