The newly appointed Managing Director/CEO of FMBN is Mr. Shehu Usman Osidi, with Mr. Ibidapo Odojukan as the Executive Director overseeing Finance & Corporate Services, Mr. Muhammad Sani Abdu as Executive Director in charge of Loans & Mortgage Services, and Ms. Chinenye Anosike as Executive Director handling Business Development & Portfolios.
At FHA, Hon. Oyetunde Oladimeji Ojo steps into the role of Managing Director/CEO. Joining him are Mr. Mathias Terwase Byuan as Executive Director responsible for Housing Finance & Accounts, Mr. Umar Dankane Abdullahi as Executive Director for Business Development, Engr. Oluremi Omowaiye as Executive Director managing Project Implementation, and Arc. Ezekiel Nya-Etok as Executive Director overseeing Estate Services.
The decision, sanctioned by the President, aims to revitalize the national housing and urban development sector to better address the current and future needs of families across the country.
Mr. Shehu Osidi, the newly appointed FMBN CEO, brings over three decades of banking experience to the table, including significant tenure in mortgage banking. His academic background includes studies at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Housing Finance.
Meanwhile, Hon. Oyetunde Ojo, the incoming CEO of FHA, boasts a wealth of experience, having served as a Member of the House of Representatives and working extensively in the housing and hospitality sectors. He holds a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Greenwich, United Kingdom.
With President Tinubu's recent approval of initiatives such as Building Materials Hubs nationwide, the establishment of a National Social Housing Fund, and land reforms aimed at facilitating access to land, expectations are high for the newly appointed officials to swiftly tackle the pressing need for affordable housing and generate employment opportunities for Nigeria's youth.
