Former Aide to Ex-President Jonathan, Cairo Ojuogboh, Passes Away While Watching Super Eagles Match Against South Africa

Cairo Ojougboh, a prominent figure who served as a Presidential Adviser on National Assembly Matters during the tenure of former President Goodluck Jonathan, has passed away, according to sources within his family.

A family member, confirming the sad news, revealed that Ojougboh's body has been transferred to the mortuary following his demise.

Ojougboh, a former member of the House of Representatives representing Ika Federal Constituency from 2003 to 2007, tragically collapsed and passed away during the penalty shootout between Nigeria's Super Eagles and South Africa's Bafana Bafana in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) on Wednesday. He also served as the Director of Projects on the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

Born on September 8, 1959, in the Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, Ojougboh was not only a medical practitioner but also the Chairman and Founder of the Ojougboh Foundation.

With a political affiliation to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ojougboh was also known for his gubernatorial aspirations in the past.
