"APC's Surprise Victory Will Stun Governor Diri and PDP in Bayelsa Gubernatorial Race, Predicts Nabena"

Yekini Nabena, the former deputy national publicity secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has expressed his confidence in the victory of the APC's gubernatorial candidate, Timipre Sylva, in the upcoming governorship election scheduled for November 11 in Bayelsa state. 

Nabena made this prediction during a press briefing in Abuja, where he also indicated that Governor Douye Diri and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would be in for a surprise defeat at the polls.

Nabena, who serves as the Secretary of the Media and Publicity for the Bayelsa state national gubernatorial campaign council, asserted that the APC's victory was virtually assured, citing the dissatisfaction of the state's residents with the underwhelming performance of the PDP-led government.

Furthermore, Nabena emphasized that the APC had a track record of success and believed that the people of Bayelsa were eagerly awaiting the opportunity to grant the party their mandate once again in the upcoming election. He stated, "We have done it before. We will still do it again."

Regarding the recent wave of defections to the APC and the denial of such defections by the state government, Nabena suggested that the governor and the PDP were becoming increasingly anxious about their political prospects. He claimed that there was confusion within the PDP's ranks at the local government level due to key members defecting to the APC.

Nabena urged security agencies to intensify their efforts in Bayelsa to prevent violence and other criminal activities in the lead-up to and during the election. He also called for the early release of election guidelines by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure transparency and clarity in the electoral process.

In conclusion, Nabena expressed his belief that the results of the election would speak for themselves, emphasizing the need for a clear and well-defined electoral process to uphold the integrity of the political system.
