President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed sadness and offered condolences to the families affected by an attack on a United States embassy convoy in Anambra State.
The incident, which took place near Atani in the Ogbaru Local Government Area, resulted in the deaths of two embassy staff and two police officers.
Three individuals, including two police officers and a driver, were also kidnapped.
The President has been briefed on other tragic incidents, including the killing of several people in Plateau and Benue States.
Buhari reiterated the commitment to apprehending the attackers and bringing them to justice while extending sympathy to the victims' families.
