Cardi B Responds to Kanye West's "Illuminati Plant" Accusations in Leaked Video

Kanye West has made claims that rapper Cardi B was intentionally introduced into the music industry by disgruntled executives to replace Nicki Minaj, whom he refers to as the "Queen of rap." These assertions were revealed through leaked footage from an unreleased 2018 documentary, in which Kanye expressed doubt about Cardi B's talent and alleged that she did not write her own lyrics.

The leaked footage, which emerged on Sunday, October 1, features Kanye seated on a couch while discussing various topics, including his belief that Corey Gamble was involved with the CIA. He also asserted that Cardi B was an "industry plant" strategically positioned to take Nicki Minaj's place.

Kanye went further to state, "Cardi B is a plant by the Illuminati," and he criticized her for not being involved in the songwriting process. He suggested that her role was to appear ignorant and produce songs with themes like "earning money." According to Kanye, she had intentionally replaced Nicki Minaj, and he believed this was orchestrated rather than a stroke of luck.

Cardi B, however, responded to Kanye's comments with composure, sharing a 2022 interview in which Kanye expressed his admiration for her and his belief in her talent. In the video she shared, Kanye West said, "I've always believed in her since she was on the show." Cardi simply added a love emoji to the video without directly addressing the critical remarks made by Kanye in the leaked footage.
