Skales reveals how Olamide transformed his life following his departure from EME.

Skales, a Nigerian musician, has opened up about how Olamide, a record label executive, changed his life after he was let go by his previous record label, Empire Mates Entertainment (EME).

Skales, whose real name is John Njeng-Njeng, revealed in an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo that he was left broke and homeless after EME declined to renew his contract due to a lack of profitability. However, his fortunes changed after Olamide contacted him to express admiration for his song 'Shake Body.'

Skales informed Olamide that he could not afford to shoot a music video for the song, to which Olamide responded by sending him the necessary funds. 'Shake Body' ultimately became a commercial success and Skales has attributed his subsequent success to the support he received from Olamide.
