Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has expressed his criticism of the club's summer acquisition, Andre Onana, for what he perceives as excessive confidence during matches this season. Berbatov has advised Onana to dial back his self-assuredness, especially in light of a rocky start to his tenure at Old Trafford.

These comments from Berbatov come in the wake of Manchester United's 3-2 defeat against Galatasaray in their UEFA Champions League encounter on Wednesday. Onana's performance in the match left much to be desired, as he committed yet another error in what has been a season marked by mistakes.

During the game, the Cameroonian international made a costly blunder with a wayward pass that ended up at the feet of Dries Mertens, ultimately leading to Casemiro receiving a red card.

Berbatov remarked, "His unwavering self-confidence seems to be contributing to his mistakes. This was evident from his demeanor in the match against Galatasaray.
