In a noteworthy political development, Nyesom Wike, who is poised to become a minister, held a meeting with Abdullahi Ganduje, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Tuesday.
The encounter took place at Ganduje's residence in Abuja, as reported by @TopboyChriss on Twitter. The tweet read, "Today, Nyesom Wike paid a visit to Alhaji Umar Ganduje, the National Chairman of APC, at his residence in Abuja."
This meeting comes in the wake of President Bola Tinubu nominating Wike for a ministerial role a few weeks back. Subsequently, Wike successfully underwent screening and clearance by the Senate for this ministerial appointment within the past two weeks.
Wike, a former governor of Rivers State, holds membership in the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). It's noteworthy that during the previous presidential election, Wike chose not to align with PDP's candidate, Atiku Abubakar, instead lending his support to President Bola Tinubu during the election campaign.
