They emphasized that the North-central region has a strong track record of producing capable leaders for ruling parties, and they believe Ganduje's loyalty and competence make him an ideal choice for the national chairmanship role. The coalition proudly mentioned that a chairman from the zone had previously led the party to victory in the last presidential election.

Speculations have arisen that President Bola Tinubu and the APC governors are favoring Ganduje's candidacy following the resignation of the former National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu.
