Davido Unveils the Origins of His Music Career: Wizkid and D’banj Frequenters of the Studio His Father Constructed

In a recent interview with the Million Dollar Worth Of Game podcast, Nigerian music sensation David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, shared an intriguing revelation about his early days in the music industry.

He disclosed that his father had established a studio where he received visits from renowned artists such as D'banj and Wizkid, among others.

Initially, Davido, who was a student at the time, hesitated to pursue music despite receiving recommendations from these esteemed musicians. However, their persistence eventually convinced him to give it a shot. The talented artist reminisced about his first foray into music, stating that the initial song he released turned out to be an instant hit.

Reflecting on his early experiences, Davido expressed gratitude for his father's support in constructing the best studio in Nigeria. However, due to his commitment to education, the studio was only accessible every two weeks. Nonetheless, during those limited periods, Davido would eagerly welcome his fellow musicians, who would record their tracks while he honed his skills in sound engineering.

Unbeknownst to Davido at the time, his friends recognized his exceptional talent and encouraged him to pursue a music career, despite his academic pursuits. Although initially hesitant due to his commitment to schooling, he eventually relented and recorded his first song, which propelled him into the spotlight.

Davido's journey in the music industry serves as a testament to the power of persistence and seizing opportunities when they arise. His undeniable talent, combined with the support and encouragement from his peers, allowed him to make an unforgettable entrance into the world of music.
