Diego Simeone, the manager of Atletico Madrid, has suggested that Napoli's striker and Super Eagles player, Victor Osimhen, could be worth more than €100m if the Italian champions decide to sell him in the summer.
Despite Napoli's president, Aurelio de Laurentiis, repeatedly insisting that Osimhen is not for sale, he continues to be linked with top European clubs, including Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich. Osimhen is currently valued at €150m and leads the Serie A top scorer chart with 23 goals and five assists in 28 matches.
In an exclusive interview with Italian sports publication, Gazzetta dello Sport, Simeone stated that he hopes Napoli can hold on to their prized asset, but a fee in excess of €100m would have to be paid for his sale.
Osimhen recently became the highest-scoring African player in Serie A history, with a tally of 47 goals in three seasons, and he has expressed his willingness to score more goals as the 2022/2023 Serie A season draws to a close.
