The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the recent Kogi State election, Dino Melaye, maintains his stance that no election took place in the state.Melaye, who secured the third position in the election won by Usman Ododo of the All Progressives Congress (APC), defended his decision not to cast a vote during the governorship poll. Speaking on Channels TV Politics Today, Melaye asserted that the act of voting or not voting holds no legal significance and cited examples of individuals winning elections while in prison.
Regardless of his participation, Melaye emphasized that the alleged absence of a valid election in Kogi State remains a matter of concern.
