Ram Unveils Exclusive Logo for Its Electric and Plug-In Hybrid Pickup Trucks

Ram trucks is set to undergo significant changes, introducing new models to its lineup. They have unveiled a refreshed version of their traditional half-ton series, and in a bold move towards electrification, they've introduced the Ram 1500 REV, an electric pickup, and the Ram 1500 Ramcharger, their first plug-in hybrid pickup. These two vehicles come bearing a distinctive logo, marking their uniqueness in Ram's lineup.

In contrast to the standard Ram trucks, the electric (EV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models feature a unique font for the letters R-A-M, all seamlessly connected in their logo. What sets them apart even further is the illuminated badge on their grilles, which pulsates while they are charging. Notably, even the more basic models like the Ramcharger Tradesman sport this glowing emblem. The other exterior badges on the front doors and tailgate match the illuminated logo on the grille but do not light up themselves.

According to one of Ram's lead exterior designers, the concept for this distinct "RAM" logo originated from a simple sketch made by one of the team members during a design exercise. It was selected because of its precise and technical characteristics, which give these electrified trucks a modern and contemporary appearance.
