ICPC Dismisses Report of DSS Carting Away Files Implicating Tinubu and Aides

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has debunked a recent report claiming that the Department of State Services (DSS) took away files containing incriminating evidence against President Bola Tinubu and his close associates from its premises. 

In a statement issued by the ICPC spokesperson, Azuka Ogugua, the commission labeled the report as fake and groundless, asserting that no such files existed in any of their offices nationwide.

Ogugua unequivocally stated, "The Commission hereby states that there were no files implicating President Bola Tinubu or his close aides at its headquarters or any of its offices across the states." She further emphasized that the alleged removal of these imaginary files should be disregarded by the public.

While recognizing the media's vital role in disseminating information, the ICPC spokesperson urged media organizations to uphold the principles of responsible journalism when reporting. She cautioned against enabling the propagation of lies and unsubstantiated claims by subversive elements through their platforms.

Ogugua concluded the statement by assuring the public that the ICPC remains open for clarification and confirmation, encouraging individuals and media outlets to seek authentic information through the commission's official channels.
