Nigerian singer-songwriter, Lekan Osifeso Jnr, popularly known as Lojay, has confidently proclaimed his hit track 'Monalisa' as the "greatest Amapiano song" to date.
The artist, who collaborated with renowned producer Sarz on the song, firmly believes that it surpasses all other creations in the Amapiano genre.
During an interview with Hip TV, hosted by former BBNaija contestant Kimoprah, Lojay revealed that his remix of 'Monalisa' featuring American superstar Chris Brown played a significant role in his rise to prominence.
He expressed gratitude to Davido for introducing him to Chris Brown in person, which led to a fruitful collaboration and a newfound connection between the two artists.
Reflecting on his experience, Lojay disclosed that he had not met Chris Brown until the day before their joint performance at Wireless Festival.
It was Davido who facilitated their meeting, taking Lojay to Chris Brown's hotel.
Although Chris Brown proved difficult to lock down, the encounter served as a catalyst for a deeper bond between the two musicians. They had a conversation, establishing a better relationship and expressing interest in future collaborations.
Lojay acknowledged that prior to meeting Chris Brown, their interaction had been limited to the song they worked on together. However, the encounter marked the beginning of a genuine connection and potential artistic collaborations between the two talents.
