Police Raid Kidnappers' Hideout in Abuja, Eliminate Notorious Bandit Isa Dei-Dei

Members of the Nigerian Police Force's Intelligence Response Team successfully eliminated a notorious bandit, Isa Dei-Dei, within the confines of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). According to ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer, who made the announcement on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, the operation unfolded as the team raided the hideout of the criminal group led by Dei-Dei. The encounter escalated into a fierce exchange of gunfire between the operatives and the bandits, resulting in Dei-Dei's demise while his accomplices managed to flee, albeit with gunshot wounds.

The operation, which commenced at approximately 10:15 AM on February 5, 2024, was launched based on actionable intelligence pinpointing the location of the bandit gang's hideout in the FCT's suburbs. Despite the initial attempt by the criminals to evade capture upon sighting the police, the law enforcement team pursued them relentlessly, culminating in the fatal confrontation.

In response to this development, the police authorities have called upon members of the public, particularly medical professionals, to report any individuals seeking treatment for gunshot injuries, as these individuals could potentially be linked to criminal activities warranting further investigation. This underscores the ongoing commitment of law enforcement agencies to combatting crime and ensuring the safety and security of citizens within the nation's capital and beyond.
