Gbajabiamila assures Nigerians: Tinubu to bring forth dividends on Democracy Day



Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, has extended his congratulations to Nigerians on the occasion of Democracy Day. 

In a statement released by his media aide, Lanre Lasisi, Gbajabiamila expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support Nigerians have shown towards the nation's democracy.

According to Gbajabiamila, this year's Democracy Day holds special significance as it marks a unique milestone in Nigeria's democratic journey with the election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He described Tinubu as a staunch defender of democracy, highlighting his commitment to its principles.

The Speaker emphasized that Nigerians will now have the opportunity to truly appreciate the essence of democracy, as Tinubu, being a product of democracy himself, understands and values the tenets of democracy and the benefits it brings to the people.

Gbajabiamila, who played an active role in the struggle for the return of democracy to Nigeria, expressed confidence that Tinubu, now in a position of authority, will not shy away from delivering the dividends of democracy that Nigerians have long desired.

Furthermore, Gbajabiamila expressed his deep appreciation to Nigerians for their unwavering support in building and strengthening the country's democratic processes since 1999.

While acknowledging the existing socio-economic and political challenges confronting Nigeria, Gbajabiamila called for unity among Nigerians. He urged citizens to remain united and offered his call for prayers, seeking God's guidance and wisdom for the country's leaders to overcome these challenges.
