African First Ladies are set to converge in Abuja for the 10th General Assembly Summit of the African First Ladies Peace Mission (AFLPM), which will be hosted by Nigeria's first lady, Aisha Buhari.
The two-day event, scheduled to begin on Monday May 8, will also feature the inauguration of the mission's newly constructed headquarters along Airport Road in Abuja.
The summit is expected to be attended by current and former first ladies from different African countries, as well as representatives from the United Nations, African Union, and the Economic Community of West African States.
This was disclosed in a statement released on Saturday by the head of Information in the first lady's office, Suleiman Haruna.
